Copy Context — Privacy Policy

Copy Context (“the extension”) is an independent browser extension. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

What the extension does

It runs only on public Claude share pages (claude.ai/share/* and claude.com/share/*).
When you click its button, it reads the conversation already displayed on that page and copies it to your own clipboard as text.
It stores a single, non-personal preference (your chosen output format) using the browser’s local storage so it remembers your choice. This never leaves your device.

What it does NOT do

It does not send any data to the developer or to any server. There is no backend, no analytics, and no tracking.
It does not read pages other than Claude share pages.
It does not access your accounts, passwords, browsing history, or any personal information.

Permissions, and why they are needed

activeTab / scripting — to read the conversation on the share page you are viewing, only when you trigger the extension.
clipboardWrite — to place the copied transcript on your clipboard.
storage — to remember your output-format preference locally.
