# StratVault — Full Context

> StratVault is an open investment strategy platform for Indian stocks and mutual funds. Experts publish YAML-based screening strategies that anyone can run against live NSE/BSE market data to get scored verdicts on any ticker.

## Platform Overview

StratVault allows financial experts and retail investors to publish investment screening strategies as structured YAML rules. Each strategy defines criteria (e.g., P/E ratio below 15, ROE above 18%) with weighted importance. Users pick any NSE/BSE stock ticker or mutual fund code, run a strategy against it, and get a detailed score breakdown with a verdict: STRONG MATCH, PARTIAL MATCH, or WEAK MATCH.

### How Scoring Works

1. Each rule in a strategy has a metric, condition, threshold, and importance weight (1-5 points)
2. When run against a ticker, live market data is fetched
3. Each rule is evaluated: pass = full weight points, fail = 0 points
4. Total score = sum of earned points / sum of possible points
5. Verdict thresholds: STRONG MATCH (>=70%), PARTIAL MATCH (40-69%), WEAK MATCH (<40%)

| ROE | Return on Equity — profit generation efficiency from equity |
| Debt-to-Equity | Total debt relative to shareholders' equity |
| Beta | Volatility relative to the overall market (Nifty/Sensex) |
| 52-Week Range Position | Where current price sits within 52-week high-low range |
| Dividend Yield | Annual dividend as percentage of current price |
| Current Price | Live trading price |
| Market Cap | Total market value of the company |

| 3-Year Return | Annualised CAGR over 3 years |
| 5-Year Return | Annualised CAGR over 5 years |
| NAV Volatility | Annualised standard deviation of daily NAV changes |
| Consistency Score | How many periods (1Y/3Y/5Y) delivered positive returns (0-3) |
| Current NAV | Net Asset Value per unit |
